Sustainability Policy
McCann Advisory & Consulting is committed to sustainable business practices and the health and wellbeing of the organisations and communities we serve.
Work Practices
- Ensure equality, inclusion, and respect for diversity are practised in the workplace.
- Facilitate employee wellbeing by prioritising health and safety, flexible job design, skill development, and work-life balance.
- Encourage voluntary work within the local community and environmental or social impact organisations.
- Prefer suppliers with aligned sustainability values.
Travel & Meetings
- Walk or use public transport to attend meetings, site visits, etc., where practical, unless cost or time prohibitive.
- Avoid meetings in person where virtual alternatives are practical. Time meetings effectively to avoid multiple trips.
- Reduce the need for staff travel by supporting alternative working arrangements, including working from home.
- Purchase carbon credits when booking flights.
Purchase of Equipment & Resources
- Minimise use of paper and other office consumables.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and recycle, where possible (including redundant electronic equipment).
- Reduce energy consumption by using natural light, where possible, and purchasing energy conserving equipment and consumables, such as efficient lightbulbs. Turn off lights and equipment when not in use.
- Seek to purchase electricity from a supplier committed to renewable energy (where feasible due to office leasing arrangements).
- Conserve water and prefer non-disposable drink containers.
- Use environmentally friendly cleaning products, prefer reduced packaging, and purchase fair trade and/or organic products, where possible.
- Recycle.
